We’re proud of the work we do collectively with our donors and partners. Here are some featured awards we’ve been granted.
The Canadian Mental Health Association presented this award to us in 2014 for grassroots organizing, advocacy efforts, and generating important dialogue in support of people with mental illness. This award honours the spirit of the late Nancy Hall, BC’s leading mental health advocate from 1998-2001.
This award, presented in 2014, is the highest humanitarian award in the world recognizing organizations’ extraordinary contributions. The Foundation stated that the Clubhouse International’s “program of social relationships and meaningful work has literally saved thousands of lives over the past 66 years”.
BC Schizophrenia Society, Victoria Branch presented this award to our Chair, Jackie Powell, for advocacy work and accelerated efforts to establish a Clubhouse in the Greater Victoria area. Credit was extended to supportive moms, dads, individuals, and organizations.

Connections Place serves the communities of southern Vancouver Island and the south Gulf Islands that are located in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees), Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.
We acknowledge our traditional hosts and honour their graciousness to the Clubhouse community and the ways we work, socialize, and advocate for wellness on these ancestral lands.
