Tomorrow's Clubhouse: Being the Change the World Needs

I recently returned home from an International Clubhouse Conference held in Denver, Colorado.  It was a bittersweet experience being with 600 people from all over the world:  China, Nepal, Gibraltar, Australia, Japan, Finland, Norway, Denmark, England, Germany, US and Canada (to name just a few) for five days was amazing!

World Bipolar Day - A Mother's Musings

Isolation is a Major Concern for People with Mental Illness

Isolation is a major concern of mine.  From my observation it can creep into one’s life quite innocuously at first.  Large birthday parties are no longer wanted, and a parent thinks their teenager is growing up and trading large parties for smaller family dinners.

Moms Like Us, Blog by Victoria Mayor, Lisa Helps

A month and a half ago, I had a call from a group of moms who all have adult children who live with mental illnesses. I met with them at City Hall rather than at my regular coffee shop location because they wanted privacy and confidence.
