Pathways Clubhouse participated in an independent review, by Success Markets, of the value created by the dollars received from funders and donors. Generally, well-managed non-profits expect to receive a Societal Return on Investment (SROI) in the $2-$5 range. We are delighted to report that Pathways Clubhouse produces a total of $14 in societal value to their members and to the larger community from every $1 received – approximately three times more than average well respected societies in North America.

Wikipedia’s description of SROI:  Is a principles-based method for measuring extra financial value (i.e. environmental and social value not currently reflected in conventional financial accounts) relative to resources invested.

Similar outcomes could be expected here in the Greater Victoria Area too!

The benefits of a SROI include the following:

  • Accountability to stakeholders (taxpayers)

  • Continuous improvement and monitoring of performance

  • Transparent communication

  • Integrity, credibility and usefulness of information

  • Quantitative analysis of outcomes

  • Internal decision making tool

  • Reflection on relevance of organizational goals

  • Continuous improvement and monitoring of performance
